This page explains, in plain language, what information this site collects, why it is collected, and how it is used. In short: we collect only what a form needs, we keep marketing consent optional and separate, and we do not sell your information.
The diagnostic (quiz)
When you take the diagnostic and submit your first name and email address, we store your answers and calculated results. We do this for two reasons: to show your results to you on screen, and to email you a copy of those results.
The diagnostic is an educational reflection tool. It is not a psychological or medical assessment.
Newsletter
If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send you short reflections and occasional updates about the book. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
Sample chapter
If you request the free sample chapter, we collect your email address so we can send you the sample and confirm delivery.
Contact and bulk orders
When you use the contact form, we collect the details you enter — your name, email, message, and, for bulk enquiries, an optional organization and quantity — so we can reply to you and, where relevant, send bulk pricing.
Marketing consent is optional and separate
Agreeing to receive marketing email is always optional and separate from getting the thing you asked for. Taking the diagnostic, requesting your results, or downloading the sample chapter does not sign you up for marketing. You choose marketing consent on its own, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Transactional vs. marketing email
There are two kinds of email from this site:
- Transactional email is email you receive because you asked for something — for example, a copy of your diagnostic results or the sample chapter. You receive it because you requested it.
- Marketing email is the newsletter and similar updates. You receive it only if you gave marketing consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How we use your information
We use your information only to provide what you asked for, to reply to you, and — if you consented — to send marketing email. We do not use it for unrelated purposes.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate the site and send email, and only as needed to provide these services.
Keeping and removing your data
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above. If you would like us to remove your details, or if you have any question about your data, contact us and we will help.
